2019 Girls Tennis Preview
The Dexter girls tennis team is starting the 2019 spring season with 7 returning players; Jayna Robinson, Bella Adam, Aino Eastman, Shannon O Roak, Olivia Peakes, Abby Wakefield, and Lilah McCormack. The Tigers have high hopes to rebound from last season where they finished with a 3-7 record. The girls are coached by Mr. Murray and Mrs. Walker. Mr. Murray’s thoughts for the season were as follows, “there would be a lot of returning veteran players. I am caustically optimistic that things will go well. There will always be the challenge of inserting new players to creating combinations of doubles teams that will give us a chance to be successful.” 2018 Girls Tennis Preview By: Tylor Handy The Dexter girl’s tennis team is coming into their 2018 season this spring with five of the seven returning players from last year. Head coach, Mr. Murray, is expecting a number of freshmen to start this year as well. Mr. Murray said, “they still have to try to mesh the experienced and inexperienced players to try to find the right singles and doubles players.” Mr. Murray has high hopes for the girls tennis team this year and hopes they will go far. They made it to a prelim game last year and lost to Foxcroft Academy. Some of the players returning are Bella Adam, Aino Rudloff-Eastman, and Jayna Robinson.
